MEET ANNA
It was spring 2018, and I was settling into a new and foreign role as a work-from-home mom. I ran a private design studio, and after four months of maternity leave, my clients were more than ready to get new projects underway—and I was beyond eager to get back to work. It took only a few weeks to realize that everything about how I had operated in the past had to change.
60-hour work weeks were no longer possible. The daily movement became an afterthought instead of a priority. Boundaries were not an active term in my vocabulary, as I was the queen of answering the demanding 9 pm email. My ability to focus consistently felt broken and muddy, driven by equal parts of perfectionism and a scraps-only diet. My periods returned with a vengeance, and the PMS was unlike anything I had experienced. Let's not forget to mention the emotional strain this whirlwind placed on my marriage, as I didn't have the confidence to speak up for my needs.
As most women do, I turned to my doctor for help. She quickly recommended birth control to regulate my hormones, on top of an anti-depressant for mood swings, a proton-pump inhibitor for daily heartburn, and a nightly sleep aide to mask the stress of it all. All of this in a single 15-minute appointment.
Since launching in 2021, I have had the privilege and honor of supporting over 80 women to pave their unique path to vibrant, flexible, embodied health.

I knew there was a bigger, brighter, better solution out there. I could feel deep in my gut that this wasn't a sustainable long-term plan, and there had to be more options available. Of course I wanted the recurring symptoms to stop, but more importantly, I wanted them to heal. At that moment—I committed to myself and the work.
